The Charlie Perfume’s creator, which is the design house of Revlon, is likewise an internationally renowned leading American cosmetics, skin, and personal care specialist. Revlon was founded by brothers Charles and Joseph Revson, together with Charles Lachman, a chemist. Charlie Perfume was the first of Revlon’s perfume line.
Charlie Perfume was modeled by Shelley Hack who personified independent women of the decade, particularly under the age of 30. In order to pull this off, she wore in pants the Charlie Perfume ads, which was the first in the fragrance industry at the time. This proved to be effective as the net sales of Revlon in fact increased to millions.
